Australia targets migrant labor abuse

The Australian government has allocated $13.25 million to launch a new program aimed at combating migrant labor exploitation.

This initiative focuses on strengthening protections for migrant workers and educating temporary visa holders about their rights and the risks of exploitation.

The program will also raise awareness among employers, ensuring they understand their responsibilities under Australian labor laws.

The government is encouraging both migrant workers and employers to apply and participate in the program to gain valuable knowledge and support.

Applications are open until April 28, 2025.
