Australia sees fewer Job openings amid rising unemployment

The unemployment rate in Australia has seen a slight increase, now standing at approximately 4.5%.

According to new data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, nearly 3,000 people exited the workforce in March, possibly due to adverse weather conditions.

Despite the rise in unemployment, over 32,000 individuals gained employment during the same month.

The statistics also highlight that annual workforce participation growth has reached its highest level in two decades.
