Australia has recorded the largest increase in anti-Semitic incidents among countries with major Jewish diaspora communities, according to a new international report.

The findings show a significant rise in reported cases over recent years, including hate speech, vandalism, threats and violent attacks.

The report found Australia experienced a 270% increase in anti-Semitic incidents since 2021, the highest growth among the seven largest Jewish diaspora nations.

Researchers also reported that incidents on social media and university campuses have increased significantly.

Community leaders are calling for stronger action to combat antisemitism through improved education, security measures and law enforcement.

The report also highlights the need for governments and online platforms to address hate speech and protect affected communities.
