The second phase of the Pacific Engagement Visa, aimed at addressing the worker shortage, will begin on 6th of January.
A total of 3,000 individuals from Pacific Island states will be granted permanent residence in Australia.
The Pacific Engagement Visa will be implemented in two phases, with the second phase starting in the new year.
This phase will select applicants from those already registered in countries such as Solomon Islands, Tonga, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tuvalu, and Nauru.
Applicants from these Pacific nations must first register and pay a $25 fee.
The visa program is designed to help meet Australia’s labor demands while offering residency opportunities to Pacific Islanders.
