The Australian Government has issued a fresh travel warning, saying the security situation across the Middle East remains unpredictable and dangerous.

The Smartraveller service warns that recent military strikes and retaliatory attacks in several parts of the region could lead to further escalation of conflict.
Australians are also being warned that fuel shortages, flight cancellations and disruptions to travel services could affect international travel.
Australians currently in the Middle East who wish to leave are being advised to consider departing while commercial flights remain available, provided they can safely reach an operating airport.
Meanwhile, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has advised airlines to avoid airspace over the Gulf region until at least July 29, 2026, due to ongoing security concerns.
Australians have been urged to reconsider non-essential travel to Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Australian Government is also advising people not to travel under any circumstances to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Yemen, amid continuing security risks across the region.
