The project, set to span four years, comes with an estimated cost of $800 million.
Telstra’s Technology Communications Executive, Channa Seneviratne, emphasized that the company aims to build Australia’s most advanced 5G network.
Technology expert Trevor Long highlighted that 5G will be significantly faster and more efficient than 4G.
However, plans for a 6G network rollout are not expected until 2030.
