Australia A vs Sri Lanka A four-day match ends in draw

The first four-day match between Australia A and Sri Lanka A ended in a draw after four days of competitive cricket.

In Sri Lanka A’s second innings, Nuwanidu Fernando remained unbeaten on 104, supported by Pavan Rathnayake (56*) and Pasindu Sooriyabandara (56), as the team reached 280 for 3 in 81 overs.

Australia A had posted a massive first innings total of 486 runs, with strong contributions from Nathan McSweeney (94), Liam Scott (94), Josh Philippe (85), Mitchell Perry (61), and Jake Weatherald (54).

For Sri Lanka A, Sonal Dinusha was the standout bowler, claiming 4 for 97, while Pramod Madushan chipped in with 3 for 82.

In response, Sri Lanka A managed 272 runs in their first innings, thanks largely to an unbeaten century by Sonal Dinusha (105*), while Nuwanidu Fernando added 34.
