Aussies gear up for Warne-Murali trophy

The Australian cricket team arrived in Sri Lanka after a week-long training camp in Dubai to prepare for the two-Test Warne-Murali Trophy series.

The squad landed late Friday night (January 24) and traveled straight to Galle, the venue for both matches in the series.

Early Saturday morning, the team reached Galle and began their training session that afternoon at the Galle International Stadium.

Regular captain Pat Cummins will miss the series to be with his wife as they welcome their second child.

In Cummins’ absence, Steven Smith will lead the team, with Travis Head serving as vice-captain.
