Australian Border Force officers have stopped a suspected ATM skimming offender from entering the country after discovering sophisticated fraud equipment in his luggage.
The foreign national arrived at an Australian airport carrying devices believed to be used for ATM skimming and stealing customers’ bank card information.
Officers seized the equipment during a baggage inspection and cancelled the man’s visa on character grounds.
The suspected offender was refused entry into Australia and placed on the next available flight out of the country.
