
Major Asian stock markets declined sharply on Monday as tensions escalated between the United States and Iran, raising fears of a prolonged conflict entering its fourth week.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropped 4.8% in early trading, while South Korea’s KOSPI fell more than 5.5%, reflecting widespread investor concern.
Meanwhile, oil prices showed mixed movement, with Brent crude slipping about 0.8% to $111.25 per barrel, while U.S.-traded crude remained largely unchanged at $98.18.
