Archuna misleads parliament using AI-generated images

Member of Parliament Archuna Ramanathan has been accused of presenting false information in Parliament, based on an AI-generated skeleton image.

In his speech, he claimed that skeletal remains of a mother holding her three-month-old baby were found at the Chemmani mass grave site.

However, officials confirmed that no such discovery has been made during the ongoing second phase of excavation at the site.

It has since emerged that Ramanathan’s claims were based on AI-generated images circulating on social media, leading to widespread criticism from the Tamil community for spreading misinformation in such a sensitive context.
