Anura Kumara Dissanayake has extended his congratulations to C. Joseph Vijay on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

In a message shared on X, the Sri Lankan President highlighted the long-standing relationship between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, describing it as one built on deep historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties spanning generations.

President Dissanayake stated that the future holds significant economic promise and opportunities as Sri Lanka and India continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

He also expressed his willingness to work together within the strong India–Sri Lanka partnership to further promote regional prosperity and progress.

“The people of Sri Lanka join me in wishing you and the people of Tamil Nadu every success,” the President said in his congratulatory message.
