Amiru Chandrasena: in Australia’s top 10 for long jump

Amiru Chandrasena, a 22-years-old athlete of Sri Lankan origin, has made a name for himself in Australia through his long jump performances.

He has earned international recognition by representing Sri Lanka in Australia.

Currently ranked 140th in the world for long jump, Amiru is also ranked among the top 10 athletes in Australia.

Amiru moved to Australia at the age of 10, where he began practicing long jump.

His dedication to the sport led him from school-level competitions to international events, and in 2018, he qualified for state competitions.

Balancing education and sports were a challenge for Amiru, but he successfully managed both, earning recognition for his academic achievements while pursuing his athletic goals.
