
Australian airports are experiencing high passenger volumes over the Easter long weekend.
Sydney Airport expects approximately 2.5 million travelers between 9th and 29th of April averaging around 125,000 passengers per day.
This April marks the busiest Easter period at Sydney International Airport in over five years.
Passenger arrivals at Sydney’s Terminal 1 have increased by 9% compared to the same period in 2024.
April 17 was the busiest day so far, with around 85,000 people passing through the airport.
An estimated 53,000 passengers are expected at Sydney Airport today.
The surge in travelers highlights a strong rebound in air travel and holiday movement during the Easter season.
