

The operational profit of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited surged by 78% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year.

In H1 2024, the company posted an operational profit of Rs. 9,049 million, which rose sharply to Rs. 16,133 million in H1 2025, according to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation.
During the first six months of 2025, a total of 32,423 flights were handled, the Ministry reported.
With the upcoming tourist season, the Ministry expects these numbers to increase significantly.
