lPolice have released AI-generated images of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a lawyer and his wife in Akuregoda earlier this month, seeking public assistance to identify and locate him.
The investigation is being carried out by the Western Province Southern Crime Division of Sri Lanka Police, which stated that the images were created using artificial intelligence technology based on available evidence and witness descriptions related to the February 13 double murder.
According to investigators, the suspect is believed to be a 44-year-old man, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a noticeable scar on his face.
Police have urged anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to contact the Western Province Southern Crime Division immediately via 071-8598008, 071-8591641, or 071-8592279.
