The Attorney General informed the Court of Appeal today that the expert committee’s report on the engine capacity of BYD vehicles is expected within the next few weeks.
The committee was appointed to examine the vehicles, which had earlier been detained by Sri Lanka Customs but were subsequently released on bank guarantees pending a final determination.
The update was given during proceedings on a writ petition filed by John Keells CG Auto (Pvt) Ltd, which was heard before a bench of the Court of Appeal today.
