The Melbourne Surya Udanaya 2025 AusLanka TV New Year Princess has been officially crowned.
Hassanya Uvinduni was awarded the title of 2025 AusLanka TV Princess, receiving valuable prizes in recognition. Senandhi Abeywickrama was named the 2nd AusLanka TV Princess, while Yoshimi Tarika secured the 3rd place title. Rashmi Kumarasinghe won the Popularity Crown at this year’s event.
The Melbourne Surya Udanaya 2025 celebration was vibrant and festive, with special emphasis on traditional Sinhala New Year rituals and a variety of colorful performances throughout the day.
As part of the festivities, the Northern Victorian Sri Lankan Welfare and Cultural Association of Australia organized a Street Food Carnival, adding to the cultural experience of the New Year celebration.

Capping off the celebrations, the renowned Australian Sri Lankan music band “Mystery” is set to perform today alongside popular young singer Gayan Gunawardena.
