Police have arrested 18 foreign nationals in Negombo over their involvement in an online fraud operation.
The suspects include 16 Chinese nationals and two Cambodian nationals, who are believed to have been engaged in fraudulent online activities and незаконные business operations.
During a raid at a lodge in Negombo, officers seized a number of computers and related equipment used in the alleged scheme.
The suspects were produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court and have been remanded in custody until April 6 pending further investigations.
