Police have arrested a 40-year-old man in Melbourne’s south-east as part of an ongoing investigation into an organised cannabis and money-laundering syndicate.

Detectives arrested the Keysborough man early Tuesday morning after executing a warrant at a property in the area.
Police allege the syndicate was linked to at least 41 cannabis grow houses across Victoria, dating back to 2019.
Authorities have previously restrained 14 properties valued at around 17.5 million dollars, with properties located across several Victorian suburbs and regional areas.
Investigators allege many of the properties were used to cultivate cannabis over long periods, generating millions of dollars in illegal profits.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police targeting people suspected of facilitating the syndicate’s activities, while the arrested man is expected to be interviewed by detectives.
