Sri Lanka’s Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala announced in Parliament on Thursday (11th) that fifteen Sri Lankan underworld figures with Interpol ‘Red Notices’ against them are currently in custody in foreign countries including Russia, Oman, India and Dubai in the UAE.

He further stated that the suspects will be repatriated to Sri Lanka once the relevant security procedures in those countries are completed.

The Minister made these remarks while delivering a statement in Parliament.
